When Gorillas Attack!

This is a video of Reese with her new birthday present that I never got around to posting. So here it is.  Watch her two front feet she does some funny moves with them.

Five years ago you came into my life and changed it forever.

You make me laugh!

You remind me not to take life too seriously!

Taught me to have fun with silly games!

That the best things in life are round and bounce! 

But bones are a close second ... 

You make sure we get our daily exercise even when I don't want to, and afterwards I am always glad we did.

That no matter how much I train you will always be ready to go farther than me. Another 4 miles anyone!

You will always keep an eye out for strangers and warn me of intruders... 

But always have a back up plan. Keep the ball close by, in case there is not a lot of foot traffic about -

a game of fetch can be had.

Or a game of tug! 

Sometimes you don't always listen as well as you should.

Like when I warn you to stay out of the catnip!

Hmmm! So that was the catnip...

Keep your friends close!

And always get your rest!

Weekend in Review

So this post was supposed to come out Sunday night....but we had a little problem in the blogosphere! So here it is now.

It was a pretty low key weekend. We had a birthday party for my Mom on Friday and went to dinner at a Japanese Steakhouse in town and ate at the Hibachi grill. The first order of the day was.....Sushi of course!

Never had it, still never had it....pretty doubtful that I'll have it in this lifetime!

Then back home for some fun and games.

Reese says, "This birthday stuff is soooo boring! Where are all the bones."

It was a fun night. Everyone had a good time, even Reese.

On Saturday I helped my friends Loretta and Andy with their sheep. We tagged the ewes and boys, (not sure what they are called at this age, will have to learn that) that will be going to market and dewormed all the sheep and some got their hooves all trimmed up. 

After we were done I got a special treat and got to see Zip, the dog that got my friend into sheep in the first place, work. I have never seen her work before, but she has won many trials and done very well. So it was fun, looking forward to seeing more of her work in the future.

Then Reese and I had our agility lesson. I wasn't sure how it would go as Reese was keeping herself busy in her crate in the car while we worked on the sheep.  She was a little keyed up at first but not bad, just glad to be out of the crate I think. It was very humid and hot and we were working on her A-frame.  I believe we our up to the full height for USDAA. We did a bit of course work and a few dogwalks and we were done. 

The rest of the weekend was pretty chillin'. Relaxed, napped, read, took some photos of the river, didn't turn out like I wanted so don't look for them here.  So I guess you could say it was a perfect weekend.

Pawty! We're Havin' a Pawty!

Happy Birthday Reese!  Reese turned 4 years old today, so we thought we would throw a little party. First up was a morning hike.

Then we started getting ready for our party. And......we had a little Cake Wreck!

Yep, I FAILED! It really wasn't that hard to do.

But then I fixed it by jamming the H in there. The purple weird things on the right are sheep.

And no she didn't stay on the table. About two seconds after this picture was taken she took her piece to the floor where a proper dog eats her cake!

Finally, Reese opened her presents. A new ball (yeah, we don't have any of those around here do we?) and a new achilles tendon to chew. 

Happy Birthday Bella!

Bella is 8 years old today. I can't believe it has been that long since I got her. How fast the time has gone. She got a new feather toy and has been enjoying interactive play time with me.

A Birthday Celebration

Since Reese kind of got screwed on her birthday. It was a beautiful day, but I was too exhausted from being gone all week and she was pretty tired from her trip to the kennel. So we waited a day to celebrate. I'll let Reese tell you about her day.

This isn't just any ball this one is SPECIAL

This ball belonged to my friend Maddie. Grandma and Grandpa decided that I should have it now.

That was so nice of them. I will make sure I take good care of it, and I'll always think of Maddie when I play with it:)

I can't believe you are three today. The last three years have given me many memories to treasure and I know there will be many more. I'm sorry I konked out on you tonight after a long week, but tomorrow we will begin our fourth year of adventures. Paws up to more adventures with you ReeCee BeeCee Girl!
